Dropped by helicopters in what they are lead to believe is a routine in-and-out mission, the patrol has one specific target. They are to ambush and eliminate one of Vietnam's principal leaders, 'the architect of the New South Vietnam'. These five soldiers, from the elite Special Air Service (SAS) - four seasoned professionals and a novice replacement - make their way into the jungle to seek out their target. But when the ambush goes horribly wrong, they are informed by HQ that there will be no rescue choppers until daybreak! With the jungle swarming with enemy soldiers, the Patrol must fight for their lives, by whatever means possible. The brutal events that take place on this mission will change these men forever.
